About Us

Chartered in 1954, the Charleston Estate Planning Council is a 501(c)(6) not-for-profit association. Our mission is to promote cooperation, understanding and working relationships among professionals in the field of estate planning, with emphasis on the traditional core disciplines of law, accounting, banking and life underwriting.

As the financial services landscape has changed over the years, the Council has broadened its scope and offers membership eligibility to other professionals with a legitimate interest in estate planning. By opening our doors to nonprofit executives, investment advisors, pension administrators, fundraising professionals and others, we provide an active forum for networking with the best practitioners in the field.
